Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using cobench.io (“the Platform”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These terms apply to all users, including makers, producers, and visitors.

2. Description of Service

cobench.io provides a marketplace connecting people and businesses seeking 3D printing services (“Makers”) with verified 3D printing service providers (“Producers”).

We facilitate transactions, provide escrow-related payment flows as described on the Platform, and enable communication between parties. cobench.io is not a party to the actual printing service agreement between Makers and Producers.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration: You must create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

3.2 Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.

3.3 Account termination: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity. You may close your account as described on the Platform.

4. Export Control and Prohibited Content

Uploading or sharing files subject to export control regulations (e.g. ITAR, EAR beyond EAR99, EU dual-use) is prohibited on cobench.io and constitutes a breach of these Terms of Service. The same applies to files that describe or represent weapons, weapon-related parts, or other regulated goods. Violations may result in account suspension and removal of content.

5. For Makers

5.1 Request posting: Makers may post requests for 3D printing services, including uploading 3D models and specifying requirements.

5.2 Intellectual property: You represent that you own or have the right to use any models and files you upload. You retain your rights; by uploading, you grant cobench.io and the Producers fulfilling the order the rights necessary to perform the order.

5.3 Payment: Makers agree to pay the agreed price plus any service fees shown at checkout. Payments are held in escrow until delivery is confirmed as described on the Platform.

6. For Producers

6.1 Verification: Producers must complete verification and provide accurate information about their capabilities and equipment.

6.2 Service quality: Producers agree to deliver prints according to agreed specifications and applicable quality standards on the Platform.

6.3 Payment: Producers receive payout after the Maker confirms delivery and quality, minus any service fees shown in the producer terms or payout settings.

6.4 Confidentiality: Producers must keep uploaded models and project details confidential and use them only to fulfil the specific request.

7. Payments, Fees, and Escrow

7.1 Service fees: cobench.io charges service fees as displayed on the Platform (e.g. at checkout or in producer payout information). Fees may change if we announce them on the Platform.

7.2 Escrow: Payments are held in escrow until the Maker confirms receipt and quality of the print, unless otherwise stated for a specific flow.

7.3 Refunds: Refunds are handled according to the dispute and refund processes described on the Platform.

8. Dispute Resolution

In disputes between a Maker and a Producer, cobench.io may act as a mediator according to the dispute process on the Platform. You agree to provide documentation and evidence when requested.

Where the Platform specifies a binding decision mechanism for payment release, that process applies.

9. Limitation of Liability

cobench.io acts as an intermediary between Makers and Producers. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of printed items, the truth or accuracy of user content, or users’ ability to fulfil their obligations.

For damages arising from interactions between users, the parties are primarily liable to each other. cobench.io’s aggregate liability is further limited to the service fees cobench.io collected for the specific transaction in question.

10. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Platform to:

• Print or facilitate items that are illegal, dangerous, or infringe intellectual property rights
• Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to circumvent payment or fee mechanisms
• Upload malware or malicious code
• Scrape or harvest user data without permission

11. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these terms. Changes take effect when posted on the Platform unless stated otherwise. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where permitted by law.
